6-8 apples, peeled and sliced
26 Kraft caramels (vanilla)
2 tbsp. water
1 (9 inch) deep dish pie crust
Crumb Topping:
1 stick butter, softened
3/4 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
walnuts or pecans (optional)
Place sliced apples in pie crust. In small pan, melt caramels and water over very low heat. Stir until smooth. Pour melted caramels over apples. With fork, combine butter, sugar, flour, cinnamon and nuts until mixture forms crumbs. Spoon over pie. Place pie on baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Let cool 3-4 hours.
